Just read the sad news that comedian and variety host Tom O'Connor has died aged 81. He had been suffering from Parkinson's disease for a number of years. RIP Tom.

RIP Tom.
Used to enjoy watching 'Crosswits' in the afternoon, 'keep your wits about you and, just for me, never a cross word'.

Sad, I didn't dislike Tom, I used to sometimes watch Name that Tune. He always seemed a likeable sort of chap. I always associate him with that game show as well. RIP Tom

Sad news. Always liked Tom - one of the old school all rounders who could turn their hand to anything in the name of entertainment. Even gameshows.
If I remember he presented "Gambit" -at some point - and also "Name that Tune" (not forgetting Crosswits!)
RIP Tom.

Sad news, he always seemed to be on the box throughout the 80s and 90s.

RIP Tom O'Connor, yes a good entertainer who could turn his hand to presenting game shows or stand up comedy. I remember a sketch show he was in, also, did seem a decent bloke.
