Very sad news. A good player when on form. He had suffered with depression and other health complications for a while due to his weight and lifestyle but its sad to see him go at 59.
RIP Andy.

RIP Andy.
Always came across as down to earth & friendly despite his 'viking' moniker.

Very sad news Maybe one of the last from that era where darts was a game played by 'characters' in pubs RIP Andy Fordham

RIP Andy, he seemed a very likeable and well respected man in the world of darts and beyond and was not the 'character' type of player you now get with the PDC thing that's taken over these days.
Thanks Andy for the memories and again RIP to 'The Viking'!

I followed Andy in his career and enjoyed his victory in 2004. Andy seemed a real down to earth guy and was an immensely popular champion. RIP Andy Fordham
