Just noticed on the BBC website that Max Mosley one of the major figures in F1 has passed away at 81.
As the article states he's a divisive character and I'm sure many love or loathe the role he's had in motorsport and other things too. Yes there's many other aspects of his life which at best have been dubious.
However you can't deny the impact and force for change/good he had on F1 in the 'killer' years and making it as safe as possible since Ayrton Senna died in '94.
RIP Max.

You need to be a pretty strong character to deal with the constant political problems motorsport serves up. Max Mosely had an extremely successful tenure as head of the FIA albeit often controversial.
RIP Max

Listened to Bernie Ecclestone on the radio this morning talking about him, he was very bright, in fact a barrister and did a lot of good in F1.
Regarding the press regulation stuff, he was right about privacy but he then was also about shutting down stories and using the courts to do so on stuff that wasn't private and should be heard.
Had a tough start in life and bad dad so that can't have been easy and led him the wrong path for a while.
RIP
