Good morning all.
You will have noticed when logging in today that you have received a private message (you will have seen a pop up box telling you so).
To clarify, this message was NOT sent by myself or Sam or anyone from 43:tv. The message has come directly from Proboards who host our forum. They are urging everyone who uses a proboards forum to support them by making a contribution to help with resources. The link in their message is perfectly safe to click on and doing so brings up more information. There is a tiered system starting at 5 US dollars.
I must stress that this is in no way anything to do with 4:3tv or any of its staff. Any funds raised will go directly to Proboards themselves.
If any of you does make a contribution, please keep in mind that Proboards will NOT accept payment via PayPal. This has been an ongoing point of contention between myself and Proboards as I myself would only consider making a contribution via PayPal. This is a shame as I would be happy to make a contribution because doing so would give me advance access to Proboards all new Version 6 of their forum software. This V6 software is something that we will be forced to move to at some point in the future which is a mammoth task for me as the whole forum will need to be rebuilt in the background while we continue to post - (DON'T WORRY, ALL THE EXISTING CONTENT WILL BE PERFECTLY SAFE AND STILL THERE WHEN WE MAKE THE CHANGE TO V6).
Unless PB implement the possibility of payment via PayPal, then I will have to wait until the software is officially launched before I can begin the huge task of rebuilding the forum in the background.
If any of you as members do wish to make a contribution by any other method they accept then that is great. You will see if you click on the link in their private message that there is a choice between a monthly rolling contribution or a one off contribution. Be careful to select the correct option for you. There is also a checkbox at the bottom where you can tick and make your contribution in the name of 4:3tv if you wish.
Remember - Any contribution is totally voluntary and not obligatory and all funds go to Proboards - Not 4:3tv.
Gene & Sam.
