I used to work with a fella that had a bust of L&H on display in his house. He knew a lot about them and also other American film comedians of that era. Way Out West is great but I really love the shorts best myself. I have a box set of nearly all their films. There are just a few films not included in the set though.

I thought Way out West, which featured The Trail of the Lonesome Pine was their best feature film. It was my dad's favourite L&H film too, although I have always preferred some of the shorts that they made before that. Of course it was many years later that 'The Trail of the Lonesome Pine' was released as a single and nearly made No.1 in the UK charts, kept off the top by 'Bohemian Rhapsody.' Vi
