I've just found a very useful site for comparing maps of varying ages with present day satellite views and road maps. Centered on somewhere familiar to many of us, Colet Gardens, the screen is split in two for the side-by-side comparison. maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/side-by-side/#zoom=17&lat=51.49304&lon=-0.21660&layers=193&right=ESRIWorldAt the top of the web page is a toggle for Swipe Off / Swipe On. In the Swipe On position the screen images change to the continuation of the area but retaining the age split (hopefully that makes sense?) I'm still exploring the site but some of you may find it useful for comparing road layouts and locations over the years. Sam
