Thanks for the heads up on that Chronicle article Carter and also can't believe it's 30 too. www.google.com/amp/s/www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/history/how-first-met-spender-jimmy-19563763.ampI remember recording them of the TV at the time and always enjoyed these adventures with Spender, Stick and their friends and foes for the next 2-3 years and was a remarkable turning point in Jimmy Nail's acting and media career too although not really sold on the man himself to be honest. Bring out a proper DVD for this whatever the issue surely it can be sorted.

30 years???? I suppose it must be! Annie and I watched it every week, start to finish, all series. I remember that we did record some of them but that was on VHS and the tapes are now long buried in the loft along with a couple of old knackered VCRs. Why there's never been an official release onto DVD or even onto Blu-Ray is ridiculous, it would definitely be added to my collection. Sam

Sam That is odd, was it very un-pc or maybe just some licensing issue? I certainly liked the ones I saw when it was on.

Didnโt even think about the piracy side of it. The fact that they are unavailable means itโs a bit of a no win situation. Watching them on you tube are only uploaded copies. Itโs ashame .....hopefully one day we will be able to buy them on dvd ๐๐

I agree. This has to be one of the biggest tv hits not to make it to Dvd.
