This is sad news indeed, but I'm glad that Geoffrey lived to such a good age. He seemed have been around on TV forever. I first noticed him in various shows on TV mainly comedy ones, when I was a kid.
RIP Geoffrey.

Sad to read of the passing of Geoffrey Palmer, an actor who appeared in so many programmes and films that I've enjoyed most of my life.
You'll see him in the The Avengers, The Saint and The Barron which isn't a bad start to a TV career.
He also appeared in Colditz, The Sweeney (of course!), The Professionals, Morse and Bergerac.
He could do comedy as seen in Butterflies, my personal favourite The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, Fawlty Towers, The Goodies and Black Adder. He also narrated the Mr Men!
His film career wasn't bad either, including Tomorrow Never Dies.
RIP Geoffrey. Your work will be with us forever.

RIP isn't really enough for Geoffrey and his contributions to acting over the years.
Not liked everything he's been in but always liked his performances in The Sweeney, The Pro's, Fawlty Towers etc. Simon Sinclair and Avery were brilliant villains in The Pro's and I'll certainly give them a spin sometime soon too.
Thanks Geoffrey for your contributions to film and TV over the years!

Very sad to hear of his passing. He was a great actor that was on the telly all through my life in so many memorable things. From Butterflies, Falwty towers, The Sweeney to Perrin and As time goes by he was brilliant in them all. RIP Geoffrey. I shall remember him with the line. "There's been a bit of a cock up on the catering front. "

One of the very best scenes from the series.
