Sad Day, RIP Geoffrey Palmer - I met this great actor when my parents lived in Hong Kong - he was a guest speaker at a Cricket Club dinner - very amusing!
Best remembered of course for playing Commander Watson in "Feet of Clay"
fondest in Butterflies....
Rest in Peace after a great innings Geoff!

Sad to report of the passing of Geoffrey Palmer who has died peacefully at his home at the age of 93. www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-54838209Famed for many comedy roles in programs such as Butterflies, Reggie Perrin, and As Time Goes By, he also appeared in straight roles as we've seen as Commander Watson in Feet Of Clay, Lord Scarman in Ashes To Ashes, and alongside Judi Dench once again in Tomorrow Never Dies. R.I.P. Geoffrey Admin note: Posts merged for duplicate thread.

RIP Geoffrey.
He played a great role in the original Reggie Perrin series as well as a nutty ex army guy.

Another sad loss. I remember Geoffrey Palmer from an episode of Faulty Towers. I'm a Doctor and I want my Sausages. I also liked the series Butterflies.
So sad to hear of him passing away.
RIP Geoffrey

Very sad news, I remember Geoffrey most from Butterflies, Reggie Perrin and Fawlty Towers.
Not forgetting his straight roles in The Sweeney and The Professionals.
RIP Geoffrey Palmer.

Very sad news. An actor I have always admired. So many memorable roles over the decades. A marvellous innings but still very sad.
RIP Geoffrey.

This is sad, he was very good in Reggie Perrin.

Brilliant in 'Fairly Secret Army', what you'd call an 'actor's actor'.

Another sad loss. I remember those "Slam in the Lamb" ads!
Though I will never forget his spot in the Sweeney. Amazing work!
RIP Geoff.

Such a familiar face on TV over the years... and a great actor too, particularly in comedy roles. RIP Geoffrey Palmer
