He was an ever present on our screens on the Saturday afternoon sports programe Grandstand during the 60s and 70s. A skilled live television presenter he often would anchor other shows such as Sports Personality of the Year. He also presented Nationwide and Breakfast Time.
RIP Frank Bough

Sad to hear that he has passed away.
A great presenter in his day, his career sadly cut short by the sex party, drugs and cross-dressing scandal in the late 1980s.
RIP Frank Bough

Argh, was a regular tv figure, that any person now that was a kid growing up in in the 70s, will associate with their childhood memories, regarding tv personalities, with Grandstand! Probably Being one of the prominent ones!
RIP Frank Bough

Remember him on Nationwide and Grandstand. Unflappable presenter.

Very sad news indeed. Frank was a very familiar face and voice throughout my childhood.
It really brings home how time passes.
RIP

So sad to hear of Frank's passing.
Up until the scandals that bought his career to an end he had a squeaky clean image as a brilliant live TV presenter with a good sense of humour.
The biggest memory of him for me is as one of the cast of TV News presenters that sang "There Is Nothing Like a Dame" from South Pacific in the Morecambe and Wise 1977 Christmas special.
R.I.P. Frank

Unbelievably Frank is from my home town of Stoke-on-Trent, and they say round my way the best bus in Stoke is the one out of town. He certainly built up a fine career from quite humble beginnings, and a university education and service in the army being key to his life direction in my opinion. shame it went pear shaped. RIP Frank.

RIP Frank.
I always liked him, he had a pleasing voice & relaxed manner, a pity he fell foul of gutter press intrusion.
