I've just read that Frank Windsor has died. Frank came to fame in the sixties series Z Cars and Softly Softly playing the same character alongside Stratford Johns.
He was later well known for the TV Insurance adverts aimed at older people which were done in far better taste than the ones they show these days.
RIP Frank.

RIP Frank.
Was only watching him a day ago in Softly Softly Task Force as John Watt.

RIP Frank.
Great as John Watt, I watched the last episode of Z Cars from '78 recently and they brought back his character to retire him.

A few years ago I saw Frank Windsor in Ludlow, Shropshire. He was appearing at the now defunct Ludlow festival. RIP Frank

Very sad news. Strange coincidence too as I was only looking him up on IMDB on Tuesday to check if he was still with us having looked up Stratford Johns and Terence Rigby. 92 is a good age to live to although I see from IMDB he worked up until he was 76. Like most I'll remember him best as John Watt in Z-Cars and Softly Softly despite seeing him in numerous other programs since. R.I.P. Frank.

RIP Frank. I'll always remember him as Ned Duckworth, the next door neighbour in Spring & Port Wine. In fact, I was watching him earlier today in Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased).

Sad news indeed. Frank brought life to many characters over the years and had a very successful career. RIP Frank
