There was a sort of follow up done in the 80s called Filthy Rich and Catflap. I remember The Nolans turning up on it once Filthy Rich and Catflap was brilliant I think. No more over the top than Bottom was and Rik was his usual brilliant self. I wasn't over keen on Nigel Planer's character (Filthy) though. Yes Cartman, the Nolan Sisters (or 'The Noles' as Rik & Ade would call them) did make a guest appearance in one episode. There were also a few Sweeney faces seen. - Damaris Hayman (Mrs Cowley in Golden Fleece) and still alive at 91 years of age
- Lynda Bellingham (Nancy King in Trojan Bus & Janice Wyatt in Sweeney!)
- Ken Parry (Fat Eric in Jigsaw)
- Ron Pember (Pub landlord in Regan) and still alive at 86 years of age
Gene.
Agree with you totally, FR&C is fab

Just watching The young ones again! and the more I watch it the more funnier it gets!! It’s absolute pinnacle to my youth and growing up! Always makes me feel young again every time I watch it, there’s absolutely nothing else on tv as old as this, which stands the test of time and is as funny!! can’t believe it’s 40 years since the first episode
