Its one of those series that'll live on forever; I watched most of them as a teenager when they first aired. I haven't watched any of them in years but though they're the best part of 35 years old now I wouldn't have thought they'd look dated.

A few good mates taped some episodes off UK Gold for me in the mid '90s and at the time, I was watching Bottom. I found that show's humour more straightforward and to the point but The Young Ones was still funny and always had a sense of the dangerous and unpredictable about it. I liked it when they had bands like The Damned, Motorhead, Madness and Nine Below Zero on it.

Love The Young Ones. Absolutely brilliant series. Great cast, wonderful lines that people of my generation still use today. Love it.

My brother started watching it in 1985 when they repeated it on BBC2 and loved it from start to finish. He told me about some episodes in the early '90s.

Just a quick heads up. If you go on to BBC Sounds and type in The Reunion on the search enabler, they give you a long list of previous episodes. One of the episodes relates to The Young Ones. Basically, The Reunion is a Radio 4 show where they bring people involved in an event back together some time after an event has passed. The episode lasts 40 minutes but is great fun. One of the things that made me laugh was that Christopher Ryan (Mike) doesn't own a TV as he can't bear reality TV. Right kids.
