One of most successful post war so called Peoples cars. Not to my taste admittedly but it was around for a long time, plenty of them about in London. I used to laugh at the deck chair roof ones in the 80s. This one from 1987 is going for £5500

Yeah the old Tin Snail did well considering it was first designed before the war and had a production run from 1948 to 1991! Was said to be designed so the French farmer could take his eggs to market without breaking any on the way!
Been a passenger in an X reg Dyane back in the 80's, my dad's friend that owned it, drove it flat out down the M1 at 70 odd and it was surprising that it could take it, and regularly!

The Citroen engines were somewhat wheezy I gather.

On Corsairs, the early ones had the 1500cc engine from the mark 1 Cortina, they changed it to the V4 I think in either 66 or 67, and this engine was also used in the mark 4 Zephyr, Transit and possibly some of the early mark 1 Capris. It was a rough and noisy engine which was very out of balance. The 2.0 OHC Pinto unit which replaced it was better

New Rover anyone? The design of this Rover wouldn't look out of place amongst today's car designs.

The design of this Rover wouldn't look out of place amongst today's car designs. Good shout. With today's reliability and build quality this would be a nice motor. Would need to be a German or Jap firm building it though

Well if you've managed to shoe-horn an Essex V6 into an era-correct one of these: then we may be prepared to overlook your indiscretion. Sam
