A new video featuring Bananarama’s Sara and Keren looking back over past performances, a sort of Then & Now. The Saint Totally never saw the point of the Youtube "Reaction Video" thing - some spotty oik in a bedroom making stupid observations and thinking the rest of the world was interested. Then I saw these two clips - totally fascinating and entertaining. Great to see them reminiscing - though I'd expect a lot of it was a blur. Thanks for posting Saint - this is what reaction videos should be about!

A new video featuring Bananarama’s Sara and Keren looking back over past performances, a sort of Then & Now. The Saint Nice find ! This has just reminded me of a BBC series in the 80s called In At The Deep End where That's Life presenters Chris Serle and Paul Heiney would take on some role from scratch every week, a bit like the C4 Faking It series. Paul had to train as an actor to play a bit part in Water with Michael Caine and I think Chris had to become a chef in a top restaurant. In one episode, Paul has to direct a video for Bananarama's Trick of The Night single. In the end, they weren't satisfied with the result and told him so in no uncertain terms. I think they re-shot it with an established director. The full episode doesn't seem to be available, but the video by Paul itself is.

They’ve still got it!
A performance from 2019.

Anyone else think they look better now than they did in the 80s?

Anyone else think they look better now than they did in the 80s? Yeah. Def. They've aged really well. Good to see them still going.
They aren't covered in all the war paint that seemed to be the fashion back then.
Doesn't Siobahn (sorry about spelling if it's wrong) have anything to do with them now? They did have a replacement - Jackie?

Anyone else think they look better now than they did in the 80s? I remember them appearing on Pointless Celebrities a few years ago and thought they looked very nice Vi

It would be great to see someone like Dennis Waterman reacting to a Sweeney episode, a full episode, sat down in his lounge at home. Or Tim Healy watching an AWP episode.
You'd think given that dvd commentaries have been around for years that someone would've had the idea of filming people watching the film/show. There is a brief video clip of Christopher Lee, Edward Woodward & the director recording The Wicker Man commentary on the dvd, but other than that I've not seen any video footage of people watching themselves.

The Network DVDs do have a commentary track on certain episodes, where the episode is playing and the Director/Editor/Dennis/Garfield are reacting to the same episode.
But I would have loved to hear reaction from many of the supporting actors (those who did introductions) too. For them, they were there for one episode - and so remembering from the top of the head could be difficult.

Ok, now here's an ITV Playhouse 'Last Summer' which seems like a bit of a gem.
Includes Richard Beckinsale, Patrick Murray of OFAH fame and a number of other 70s character actors.
Locations are primarily in the West London area - so nicely aligned to The Sweeney and Minder.
