I remember watching that exact film back in '92 when I was working for a water company on their waste water (sewage) pumping stations. Not the most salubrious of places to work but overall it was the best job I've ever had. Sam Respect. A career working in p**s and sh*t! I'm sure we've all experienced the latter, it is just the depth that varies. Sam.

Strange clip from a show where John Dankworth & Cleo Laine hosted celebrity guests at their massive house, that week it was John Thaw & Sheila Hancock. Oddly at the end of the clip Dankworth plays the 'Dixon Of Dock Green' theme whilst Thaw says 'evening all'. The date on this is 1975.

Firstly this a valuable thread. Just saw a relatively new channel: Ian's British Retro Channel Plenty of films, tv progs and other footage not seen before. It's only been going for 2 weeks. Examples include Z cars, TOTP, Slade in Flame, The Reckoning. Hope it proves helpful for members of this marvelous forum. Cheers, Stan Thanks for the notification Stan Members can find the complete listings here: >>> Ian's British Retro Channel <<<
Sam. Just a quick update as further gems are being added almost every day to this channel. One is Dixon of Dock Green; interesting to watch in the context of a pre-Sweeney world. Anyway, viewed the episode 'A Slight Case of Love' from April 1975. The two main guest stars will be familiar to many forum members - Moira Redmond and Julian Glover. Can see from their characterisations why both were subsequently cast perfectly in The Sweeney episodes 'Lady Luck' and 'Queens Pawn' respectively.

Yes & Moira Redmond even wears the same clothes in both episodes! I thought I'd put this on the Sweeney Schmutter thread but it's on the Sweeney Stars Spotted In Other Shows thread-

There's some good stuff on that channel. I've come across a few similar channels in the past.

They say he has no personality but he has his own personality and is his own person unlike certain media-savvy (false) drivers on the grid these days.

I love it that he doesn't have time for some of the BS questions that often dog interviews . Especially the ones stating the obvious
