Yes, good find As we already know its an outtake I was expecting Janet Key to burst into laughter during her monologue especially as she does look to be corpsing at points throughout it. It is a little disappointing that the clip ends directly after Thaw delivers his final one word sum-up as I'd like to have seen the resulting change of mood with the pair of them laughing, along with the audible guffawing of the crew. Would have made the clip that little bit better. Could still leave out the going back to Denis Norden with his clipboard though. Nice upload nonetheless.

Yes its a great pity we dont see her reaction. John probably knew they'd have to do it again anyway as Janet hesitates slightly at one point.

Unusual sporting moments from World Of Sport 1981. World Of Sport used to have some interesting stuff on Saturday afternoons. RIP Dickie Davies I like the racing incident from 3.16 and the interview after

The chap who posts unedited TOTP editions complete with VT clocks is back, so here's an edition from the autumn of 1977 with a few false starts and alternate takes of the Showaddywaddy track.
There are some old episodes of Z Cars from the late 60s/early 70s on the channel too.

Very interesting find Nightfly It's good to see how the programme was put together pre final edit. The first half of the show runs to almost 30 min, so I assume the Showaddywaddy track was to allow for a change in running order due to chart movement ?

You may be right, but I think sometimes they would record the odd second take and choose the best one for the edit as they tended to be recorded on Wednesday night to go out on the following night. There's one from 1973 featuring Roy Wood performing "Forever". The first performance with Roy at the guitar looks a bit stilted, so the second has him sat at the piano. I find the unedited versions fascinating as I always thought they were recorded as "live" with as little interruption as possible.
