The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu up next with 'It's Grim Up North' Ironically in spite name checking almost every Northern English town it was filmed at the A27 Brighton By-Pass! Perhaps deliberately considering their ironic humor form.

^^^ That reminds me ^^^
The video for “Ghost In My House” by The Fall, was filmed in Mark E Smith’s home town of Prestwich. In fact, it’s filmed in Smith’s local pub, The Woodthorpe, on Bury New Road.
The street at the start of the vid is West Meade

I've not heard that one for donkey's years Windy, is that one that you would post in "Covers you prefer to the original" thread? Personally I still prefer R.Dean Taylor's original but that isn't too bad as covers go. Sam.

Mark E Smith went to the same school as me, but he wasn't in my year, being two years older than me, so I don't remember him at all.

Another one had just come to me while my playlist on Youtube has been playing in the background. Queen's It's A Kind Of Magic: Clearly there's been a bit of CGI gone here for the opening scene but the theatre exterior is of The Playhouse in Northumberland Avenue next to Charing Cross station as can be seen >>> HERE <<<

"Lost In Music" is their best, IMO

R Dean Taylor's versh every day of the week - and that's from a big Fall fan
The Fall have done some great covers though....
Mr Pharmacist by The Other Half
Lost in Music by Sister Sledge
Rollin Dany by Gene Vincent White Line Fever by Merle Haggard
I Can Hear The Grass Grow by The Move
Stranger Town by Groundhogs White Lightning by The Big Bopper The Legend Of Xanadu by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich
...and many more that don't spring to mind right now
If I had to pick a personal favourite it would be (drum roll please)....
Mr. Pharmacist
Guaranteed to see me shaking my groove thang down at the Indie Disco every flipping time

Not sure who compiled the list for 'It's Grim Up North' but they made a glaring error not mentioning Blackpool
Several of the towns mentioned are anything but grim so maybe it was meant satirically in response to the cliche.

You're not wrong Arthur. You can add Morecambe to that list as well!
