There are road safety squirrels aren't they? Which isn't much more sensible than making hedgehogs bastions of road safety. Should have used sloths, they're too lazy to get into trouble! They are, I just had no idea there was footage - I assumed it was just an image from posters etc. And yes, I can see where this is going so I will preempt your responses, boys. I AM aware that it's not real footage and there were no living road safety squirrels. Actually I get squirrels in my garden but sadly back onto quite a busy road so can very much back up the fact that they're not front runners for road safety.

Me neither, I thought it was just cartoons. I have a large walnut tree on my land and the pesky squirrels have most of the walnuts and plant the damn things so I have to continually pull up small walnut trees to stop being taken over!

We had polystyrene ceiling tiles in our kitchen which were painted, thinking about it, at that time. My Dad loved polystyrene tiles! In the 1980s we had them on the ceiling of every room in the house. The presenters of the BBC show "Homes Under the Hammer" constantly find them still in properties sold at auction - remove them as soon as possible as they are dangerous, they always say. Vi

Here at home the squirrels that come into our garden must have had lessons in road safety because they don't use the road, instead they cross over where the trees from each side meet in the middle. When we go to the Isle Of Wight we regularly see the red squirrels, smaller but far better looking creatures than the grey squirrels and the true native squirrel to the UK. Sam.

Vi I have probably seen every episode of Homes Under the Hammer. It is a running joke and, I suppose, goes with the territory. But every single sin that they mention is in the bungalow in which I grew up and my parents still reside. Polystyrene ceiling tiles, wood chip wallpaper, metal front door, gas fire, water tank/immersion heater, bath without a shower, over floor central heating pipes, plug sockets without on/off switches (and only about 1 per room!) ... we’ve got the lot.

I think that’s what “my” squirrels are trying to do but the gap is much too wide. Poor little souls

They’re so sweet! Here we go, the whole lot, apparently. They’re very cute but I’m slightly perturbed to discover that Sparky’s screen shot from earlier is “Tufty and his mummy” not stuffy and his wife. Not much of a height difference there. I do like them, though. It makes me think of Sylvanians.
