Just love this! I spotted it at a previous car show I attended in the Chiltern Hills. It must be one of the best examples of a coupe’ I’ve seen! Let alone any Granada. Just look at the seats! They‘re immaculate! Ya just wanna touch um! Saying that, I still prefer the 4 door and couldn’t imagine Jack and Bill driving around in a coupe lol!? Wow ! That is beautiful. Stunning condition. I love that colour, it just glows. Well of course I'm influenced in loving the colour due to The Sweeney. Damn shame that Granadas were not imported into Australia. Australia has always had a preference for 4 door cars. Only in later years that some appreciation towards 2 door coupes.
I think Jack Regan would prefer the 4 door. I remember occasionally as a kid having to wait while the adult in the front seat of a 2 door would awkwardly shift their seat forward to let the kids pile into the back seat. As a kid it seemed like an 'eternity' to wait.

Yeah you’re right Batgal! With the thing of sliding the front seat forward to let the kids in the back! It did seem to take forever didn’t it! And also going back to the Sweeney’ in the episode of ‘ I want the man’ I couldn’t imagine Jack doing the Same scene in a Coupe’ where he scrags’ Frankie Little and drops the seat back lol!

Tell me about it! My dad bought nothing but 2 door cars! Always glad to help with car ID'ing!

As the owner of a Mk1 saloon I am biased and not really a fan of the coupe but I must admit I really like the European coke bottle version. The shape really works and makes it look a bit like a muscle car. Shame they didn't sell that shape over here.

I imagine a coupe of any kind would hinder and hamper the frequent swift exits required by the fuzz (not to mention the quick entrances made by many a bruised and battered criminal)...!!! Therefore I have to say that Jack would always prefer a 4-door!
Having said that, he did drive a Capri in one episode of The Sweeney...
