Sorry, I had to do what the Guv said he's the boss! I'll do my best to mediate . Letting birds on the squad was always going to lead to trouble ........ I could adopt a disguise?

You are quite right, Arthur! And that’s lovely news about Captain Tom ... I basically avoid the news so didn’t know!

Just trying to remain positive in this period is an achievement in itself so you've done very well Sparky. We keep praising the NHS & the newly appointed Colonel Tom but when you think of all the people behind closed doors enduring God knows what, you have to count your blessings. Gawd knows what long damage is being done, at least I have a job and a garden, unlike many others.

I'm just intrigued as to what everyone else has been up to. Esp if you live in Flats that don't have a Garden. I keep worrying about running out of stuff to do; but always just seem to find something.
One bonus of this lockdown is that my "To Do" list will be a lot emptier!

The sooner they relaxed some of the rules for outside association the better, very few if any are catching it an outside environment. The people will only put up with this lockdown for a certain length of time, just have to live with some risk. The government can't keep saying wait and see for much longer.

Tips are supposed to be reopening. Mind you - many had enough of the lockdown 2 days in and just flaunted the rules.

Yes, I saw that about tips. No doubt with some tedious queuing or booking system.

There are definitely people who have done almost nothing differently since this all began . I know a lovely lady in Wales whose neighbours have had gatherings in their back garden almost every afternoon/evening since this began! Whilst she's completely on her own and unable to even walk her dog. Selfish . I really want to see my parents, now. Yesterday I had to take my husband to work just briefly to collect something. The car only just started, as I suppose I haven't used it in a couple of days (I've been using it to collect him from work as an excuse to keep it going and he's off this week). So I said I'd pick him up in ten minutes, took the car up to the dual carriageway, just for the one junction that took me back to our town again but it was the first time there's been any need to use 5th gear for a month and a half. Hopefully did it some good. Poor sad car . This is the thing though, it's so tempting to do a proper clear out/sort out etc but with the knowledge that the wheelie bin is already full and there are no other options, it soon becomes a bit fruitless. Otherwise I'll end up with piles of stuff for the tip/charity shops or whatever and absolutely nowhere to take them which means we still have all the crap and we don't have a shed or a garage.

When they open the tips it will be frantic (at a distance) I imagine so best to wait a bit longer.

Oh believe me, I won’t be joining a queue for the tip. We got an ALDI in November and I’ve still never been (initially avoiding hype and then, since it has a tiny car park, because of Covid19) .
