It does worry me that (whether they're true or not) I've seen articles in the past about PG & KH being glad to see the backs of their characters in that universe. I'm not sure I've seen anything like that from JS, to be fair. But whilst it's a job at the end of the day, if they either didn't want to bring it back or did it but didn't really want to ... that could be bad. One series that seems to have survived a come back is Red Dwarf. It's not something I would choose to watch but I have seen it all a few times through because him indoors loves it and to be fair, it's much as it was! Very girly answer but the third Bridget Jones film (about 12 years gap between 2 & 3) was absolutely dreadful whereas the first two were quite funny/enjoyable. And as for 'Still Open All Hours' that should NOT have been brought back. It's sh*te. With the 4 decades or so that passed between the original series and the new one, though, it's quite easy to pretend they didn't do it. That's not the case with Mars/Ashes. I do think that whatever they did would be impossible to ignore. Nope, it's making me rather nervous, the whole thing .

I know for a fact that Dean Andrews is up for it. I can't for the life of me imagine that they would be going to the trouble of writing it without having some idea if the cast were interested. Montserrat has done relatively little since Ashes. Liz White has not done a great deal and Marshal Lancaster is now a plasterer and even though they are on good prices these days, I'm sure he'd jump at the chance of coming back for a final run.
It just has to be with the original cast or don't do it at all.
Gene.

A very sensible point, Guv. As usual I'm running headlong into the blind panic with no common sense .
