One thing I don't think anyone gets are these reports of kids spitting on food in supermarkets, spitting & abusing police & emergency services & ambulance tyres being slashed. I used to read of kids harassing fire fighters & wondered why the hell they'd do it, but at a time like this what do you do with these kids? And what if it catches on across the country with them all off school for months?
Just allow the firefighters to fight back instead of the modern approach of not laying a finger on anyone. To misquote a line from one of the Dirty Harry films "there's nothing wrong with violence, as long as its against the right people".

I've just read an article about a group of Teenagers being held by police for coughing in the face of an elderly couple. Then I saw Arthurs post and am totally spitting (no pun intended) bricks.
The amount of kids I have seen out and about today, in large groups, treating it all as a great summer holiday and jolly up angers me.
I have two sons, one is 15, and came home from school on Friday with a pack of work to last 4 weeks, as well as his school has set up online classrooms where you can skype teachers and find additional work, post additional work etc. The school have insisted that all pupils try and keep to a rough time table for each day - similar to that in school. So - he spent all morning and an hour after lunch doing his days quota (and started tommorrows too)
My Youngest is 10, suffers from severe Anxiety and has Autism. Friday, his routine changed suddenly - school closed, and now he's trapped at home and can't go far.
And it's been a struggle to get him focussed to do any work anyway. He'd like to be outside in the Sun playing football.
In f*****g angers me that people are so arrogant and complacent to advice given by the Government, and those who are abiding to the advice are going to end up getting punished for them too.
To be honest, I can see Curfews and stricter laws being in place this week.
Though - with the kids who are wandering the streets, they should be picked up, returned home, and the parents fined - as the kids should otherwise be in school. Schools have put plenty in place to keep things moving.

You want to say I hope people pull together and form support groups to look after kids, but then getting together is the risky part.
This is a hell of a bad situation, will takes years to recover from and could easily happen again.

Though one positive thing I have learned from all this, is how the different strains of viruses can manifest themselves - and at the same time, how their effects can differ from person to person.
The local rag was reporting that a couple of Chip Shops had been broken into overnight - people nicking large bags of Potatoes......

I'd like to think that a bit of luck these feral rats might go too far and provoke a backlash that's been long overdue against them.
Probably won't happen but be nice if it did.

The Army on the streets of Spain, what kind of uniform is this Look like bouncers at a gay nightclub. 'We've got the Italian Paratrooper in your size'. They're not going anywhere in those strides, mate.
