Thank you all, I woke up to a message from her (having small children, she’s up at the crack of dawn) and her little boy was well enough to be keen on Easter eggs, so that’s a good sign. By the looks of things, they were already over the worst when they got it checked out. Fingers crossed I guess, and equally she’s got a 1 year old as well so I’m hoping since she seems fine that she will remain ok. My friend has had pneumonia before and the little boy is asthmatic so it could be why they’ve been more affected. Good to hear things are looking up.

Hi Alex That is a good sign if your friend's little boy was well enough to be interested in Easter eggs. I was so sorry to read your post about your best friend and her family. Friends are as close, if not closer than family, in our lives.
I am sure she appreciates you checking in with her by whatever means you can in these times. Hoping they make a quick and easy recovery at home. Look after yourself too. Everyone is so under stress. I know it's not 'recommended' but a glass of wine (maybe 'Bolly' for you !) was a nice de-stress for me the other night.

Thanks Batgirl :) she's back at work (from home) today so she can't be feeling completely awful any more. That said, she would probably work even if she did! But I think she's doing much better now and the little boy is back to normal. A huge relief! Well (contrary to popular belief) I am so unaccustomed to alcohol that all it really has the ability to do is make me fall over and stop me from sleeping so it's probably not advised in my case. Mostly I've just been reading and watching my favourite things and remaining in the fictional world as much as possible! But I cannot wait for this to end. I just want to get back to work, as sad as that probably sounds. I hope everyone is keeping safe, especially those still having to leave home to work!

My friend informs me she feels fine now. She was told to wait until she no longer had a raised temperature to leave her house but is giving it a couple of days extra, just in case.

Good to hear it Alex, thanks for the update. Wise move not to push her luck with it, it isn't worth it just for the sake of a few days. Sam.
