I was surprised to spot this morning on my train commute into London that one of the Battersea Power Station funnels appeared to be smoking..... I had to do a double take look! Some investigation tells me this is in-fact the new heating system letting of steam - how cool! www.heatingandventilating.net/steam-rises-again-from-battersea-power-stationI will try and get a smudge next time I am passing and can get a photo, there is quite a lot of interesting development going on in this part of London.

I'll be down there tomorrow morning with one of our stone trains, I'll have a butchers. Difficult to get a decent photo from the sidings adjacent to the dog's home though due to the new concrete structures being built right next to it. Villain

I had a look yesterday on my commute home and there was definitely smoke or steam coming from the South-West chimney. There wasn't much but it was visible, a far cry from what there would have been at the station's peak!
The development going on around the power station includes the extension to the Northern Line with two new London Underground stations being built: Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station, as well as a mix of office and residential developments. From memory I think there'll be a new American Embassy built there. If that is the case then hopefully the new tube station should keep the septics off the roads...
Sam.

On the Battersea stone job this morning imagine my pleasure as I drove the train across the Thames at Imperial Wharf just as a freight barge was passing underneath, the name proudly painted on the side was...………………………………………………………… 'Regan'!! Villain

Villain How cool - I've seen a wagon before with REGAN on it - I wonder if they are this firm.... beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/09269560/officersLook at the name of the officers, clearly more than a coincidence to be called 'Regan' eh?

You can just see a smidgen of steam from the back right stack as i got some bad smudges from the Train on the way home this evening: Get a gauge of how much redevelopment is going on too:

Came across this ambient video, a fixed camera recording from a few years ago, 40 minutes long.
