I was pleased to read the news of Checo Perez getting the 2nd Red Bull drive - well deserved, Albon clearly didn't get close to the performance of Max Verstappen.
No other driver more deserving to stay in F1 this season in my opinion.

Yes I'm glad Perez got a good seat with Red Bull for next season I think his 2013 season with the dog of a McLaren he's been a good consistent driver and I think it will do RBR good too having a talented and experienced hand alongside Verstappen which is something they've possibly been lacking since Ricciardo moved on.
In all honesty I think Racing Point/Aston Martin will regret letting him go.
Also Nico Hulkenberg possibly deserves a decent drive too but seems unlikely he'll get a shot now.

Great to hear Sir Frank Williams has been discharged from Hospital and is on the mend back at home.

In not too surprising news the Australian GP will not be in March 2021. November is considered new target date.

I can see 2021 being run very similar to 2020 Batgirl I'm afraid, it doesn't add or take anything to the seasons those pre-Covid had but reckon with the current situation a Summer to Autumn package mainly in Europe will be what F1 will have in mind unless this situation (vaccine etc.) suddenly improves and spectators can be back in the paddocks again.
I really missed Melbourne from the calendar last year as it usually throws up a season opener surprise or two but I did enjoy tracks like Mugello, Imola and even Istanbul being back on the line up again... maybe alternating tracks could be a idea in the post Covid world.
Hope the roar of a F1 car is back in Albert Park very soon!

I agree with you that it was a loss to see some of the regular tracks disappear from last years calendar but as you say some of the new additions worked out really well. This year at the present time looks likely to be more of the same as per last season. The calendar still has a couple of TBC races at the moment but the latter stages could possibly see fans if the vaccination program goes to plan?

I hope there isn't quite as much disruption to the calendar this year. I have tickets for Silverstone again this year so hopefully that will go to plan.
Gene.

I would think there's a good chance of it if they reduce capacity ?

I'll keep it all crossed for you Gene that it's all on okay for this year mate. Missing out on Monza last September and losing out can get how disappointing it had been - bloody Covid!
