Yes Steed!! Well said!! Bud! At least it’s still to come!! It’s about trying to look at a bad situation from a different angle!!! And also finding things to do to pass the time. I’ve just finished the entire series of The Sweeney again, I’m now gonna start wading through Special Branch and then straight on to Public eye, lol and when that lot is done it will be on to the 70s sitcoms starting with George n Mildred!
Just starting ti watch the "Special Branch" episodes, definately will be watching the Sweeney.
Plan to do them in order, "Regan", S1, S2, "Sweeney!", S3, "Sweeney 2", S4 (if that is the correct order).
Then it'll be "Minder" and the Armchair Cinema Boxset.
It'll be the back catalogue of Euston Films getting me through this so far!
We were contemplating a bit of Micheal Caine fest too, "Italian Job", "Get carter" and "Black Windmill".
I do have an LCD projector someone gave me on the premise, if I can fix it, I can have it.
So going to look at that - and hopefully screen stuff on a hap hazard cinema screen.......
Frightened by Horror Films? - Just remember, BEHIND the camera stand even more horrifying individuals moaning about the Catering food, the hours they work and quoting Union Rules... that's just the Electricians.
Only now, can I breath out and say if the Meet had gone ahead this weekend, it would have been all over now.
Now, we still have the Life On Mars Meet to look forward to
As soon as we are all clear from the current socialising restrictions, I will announce the new date and start afresh with the registration. Hopefull all on the original list will still be able to join us as it may be at relatively short notice (a matter of a few weeks from announcing the date).
Has anyone successfully had a train ticket refund as yet? They initially told us to post the tickets signed for which I thought was insane but did, begrudgingly. I have today logged in to find I had "action required" on my refund ... them wanting me to chop up my tickets and send proof! Bit tricky when they have had them since 3rd April. I've had some sort of response from them on twitter messages but still waiting for a definitive answer. P*ss up and brewery come to mind.
Sometimes in life you can't help which way you fall.
Do you still have the Track & Trace number for the "Signed For" postage? This will give a date and (hopefully legible) signature of the person that signed for the delivery. Giving them that information should be all the proof they need that your tickets were returned.
Thankfully I hadn't booked my tickets as I was still debating whether to drive up or not so I've not had to reclaim but perhaps other members can advise if they've had issues?
I hope you get it sorted soon Bolly.
I'm going to say this once and once only Gene: Stay out of Camberwick Green!
That would really annoy me DCI Drake waiting for a refund!! How frustrating! It’s bad enough having something cancelled, never mind waiting for ya money back. Shame they can’t issue it quicker or at least gave you the option of a credit note for the equivalent amount!
