Ah I see, I wasn't aware of this series. Thanks Dirty.

Here's a few of mine. One SummerBBC Grand PrixTwo great ones there Dirty One Summer was avid viewing for me an Annie when it was first broadcast, early days after we'd got hitched. As for the 1986 British Grand Prix, what a great day that was! I was there on the embankment by Graham Hill Bend just after Druids. The race was stopped after an accident involving Jacques Laffite. After the re-start it was won by Nigel Mansell ahead of his team mate Nelson Piquet. It was a blistering hot day and I got as sunburnt as Rodney Trotter in a solarium. Sam.

I got a 7" of the music to One Summer for my brother's birthday last year, he opened it & I could tell his pleased reaction wasn't quite right, 'you haven't already got it?' I asked, 'yes' he said, he'd been given it as a present only days before.
Playing mouth organ on the soundtrack is Paul Jones, Tommy Garrett from 'Chalk And Cheese'.

The closing theme to 'Armchair Thriller' is very effective. The stories are in several parts & the way the music creeps in just as each part ends makes all the difference.

Lucky old bugger Sam seeing that British GP in 86 live. That move from Mansell on Piquet is a piece of F1 legend.

I seem to remember The Sandbaggers had a really good score. Yorkshire TV production starting in September 78.

I remember watching the British GP from Brands Hatch a couple of times on tv in the 80s. I think I'm right in saying that 86 was the last time it was held at the Kent circuit.

Not entirely sure Del but think you might be right and it went to Silverstone after the late 80's. Shame Brands can't host GP these days, seems to do well with other events like the BTCC.
