I think some recent new retro style releases have been launched over the last few years under the Hotwheels brand, a great many classic type cars modelled, along with the "new" Matchbox range with new castings, great for small scale model cars collectors - but you can't beat the original of course!

Both Hot Wheels and Matchbox are owned by Mattel so I think resources get pooled hence why they both offer some great 'classic car' castings these days...
The problem is that their distribution in the UK is not that good...! Hot Wheels are pretty good with their releases but Matchbox are shocking!!!
It's hard to think that a brand that was founded in this country is so darn hard to get here now!! So very odd...
For example Matchbox released a lovely little model of the Mk1 Ford Capri this year but it never made it to these shores (it might do in a later recolour though I've no doubt)...!! Sheer lunacy...
