Finally got this great Bill Forsyth film on Blu-ray - seemed to take ages for them to get around to issuing it but there are some good extras. Just need to find the time to watch it. And also the time to get around to visiting the locations!

Another film that I don't recall so i went and had a look at this. The brief synopsis is: An American oil company sends a man to Scotland to buy up an entire village where they want to build a refinery. But things don't go as expected...
An interesting cast is in this one including: Burt Lancaster Fulton MacKay Peter Riegert Peter Capaldi Jenny Seagrove
Thanks for sharing AJ. Let us know your thoughts once you've watched it.

I've heard of this one but never really watched/fancied watching it. Wasn't this a Film 4 production or something too?
However it does sound intriguing/interesting and Bill Forsyth stuff is generally good so may try and search this out one day.

I've heard of this one of course, but haven't seen it. Sounds like a good story though. I'll watch out for it.

Same for me. I recall it being on general release but never one I'd gone to see or even seen on the goggle since.
Looking forward to your review RJN

I seem to remember they made a real fuss of this when it was released, rarely shown on TV though.
