Hopefully someone can help with this one - I have a vague memory of a 70's children's show which featured "Darler men" (unsure of the spelling). I thought it might be Timeslip but having looked through various websites I've not found anything. Any help gratefully received! Thank you.

Welcome to 4:3tv - The Retro Forum arejayenn.
Afraid your question rings no bells with me but I'm sure one of our experts will be along soon with something to add.

I was going to also suggest "Timeslip" and then thought it may be "Tommorrow People"- can't seem to find any mention of them for any of those shows.
There was a US TV series from the 1960s called the "Little Rascals" and featured a character called Darla. However - not sure if it popped on on UK TV.

My searches only turned up the info Sparky has indicated. Do you know if it was a UK, American or perhaps Australian made show? Any other character names spring to mind ? Or the name of the main setting like a town, building etc .
If you can think of any of the above it could help narrow the field.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and also for looking at this - much appreciated.
I don't have any other information that I can recall unfortunately. I need to crack on with watching Timeslip to see if it does pop up in there.

I'm (like the rest of us) are still thinking!
As Del said, any more details that pop up - drop them here.
Can you remember which Channel it was shown on? Bearing in mind we only had 3 channels back then! So that could narrow it down.
Enjoy "Timeslip" not watched them for a while. I still have the final series of "Tommorrow People" to finish watching!

Definitely sounds an intriguing this one. Also if it was on ITV possible it could've been shown on one or a few region and not the network as a whole.

Definitely sounds an intriguing this one. Also if it was on ITV possible it could've been shown on one or a few region and not the network as a whole. That was common with a lot of Kids shows in the 70s; and a few of the afternoon dramas/films. Back then -ITV company bosses all sat round a table every so many months and "sold" their programmes to the Network, the more companies that would take the programme on meant more viewers, and of course more advertisers willing to pay. Therefore greater income.
Also - even the guaranteed ratings pullers such as the networked Soaps were shown at one time in one Region, and another time elsewhere.
