P.S. Some Scotch slipped into the above comment as I’m currently sitting in the Euston Tap having last orders, waiting for Detective Sgt Davy Freeth to arrive. And as if by magic, Blondie ‘Heart of Glass’ has just come on and it’s all gone 1978. Marvellous.

We have been blessed over the years. You could almost guarantee the sun which isn't bad going for late March early April or October. Thanks for the warning Guv I'll fetch along my Nags Head umbrella that I got in the van.
Bonjour

UPDATE:My advice is TAKE A RAIN COAT OR UMBRELLA if you don't want to get soaked. AccuWeather has Sunday with ‘periods of rain’ so let’s hope they’re minor and they’ll never dampen our spirits. That won't happen with this group Mick

Nah as you say a bit of rain won't stop us making this another great meet.
Not long now!

Hello, Derek Fish here with your up to date weather picture this Friday lunchtime. This weekends weather picture is dominated by rain I'm afraid. Saturday afternoon will see light winds of 7 mph and precipitation of approximately 10 per cent throughout the day. Temperatures are slightly above the seasonal average. On to Sunday now and the weather picture sees the dominant low pressure system move in from the west, bringing copious amounts of rain for most of the day. The winds will remain light and temperatures again are above the seasonal average. Precipitation is 80 per cent. for most of the day, so best advice for those venturing out is to have a brolly with you. Autumn has well and truly arrived. For those going on the Steptoe meet on Sunday. I can tell you not to worry, there won't be a hurricane. Well not before the squad's liquid lunch anyway.

Light winds? Are you kidding?
It wouldn't be a normal meet without plenty of strong winds!
Sam.

UPDATE:
Well, we've had a marvelous run over the last 14 years but.... I've just seen the weather forecast on the Met Office for Sunday and it has forecast very heavy rain. I have already planned a backup route that avoids what would have been a pleasant 25 minute walk during the first part of the Meet, but there is no way I can avoid us getting wet after that I'm afraid as all locations will be visited on foot. I certainly won't let this spoil the day for me and neither will it impact the itinerary at all. We will still be doing each and every location that I've planned. That said, there may be scope to dodge into a hostelry during the walk if the rain gets too heavy So, my advice is TAKE A RAIN COAT OR UMBRELLA if you don't want to get soaked. You may also wish to choose your shoes carefully too as it is likely to be a little soft under foot in Kensal Green Cemetery.Whatever you do, please don't turn up on Sunday and say "no one said it was going to rain" Gene.

Looks like the forecast isn't great but the heavier rain will be in the morning, with it slowing a bit in the afternoon if that helps! I suppose it had to happen one day!
