Really enjoyed looking through these Sam, thanks for posting. It's striking how clean and sterile everything looks. Pick of the bunch for me has to be the F1 cars though. The history there speaks for itself. I'd love to have a wander around the place. Gene. Exactly Gene, everywhere is spotlessly clean and even while the open day was on there was a team of cleaners continually walking around with wide, soft cloth brooms sweeping as they went to keep it immaculately clean. We were told that it is a legacy from before Ron Dennis left and that while he was still there he would also do a daily inspection of the production facility not only to ensure that everything was clean but also that all wheeled component trolleys were perfectly aligned as well as the cars on the line being equally spaced and aligned. I forgot to add that while we were in the production area cars were still being tested on the rolling road. This was a glass sided 'cabin' with exhaust extract that allowed everyone to watch the cars under test. One of the cars we saw was a black £750k Senna, the other was a 720S Spider neither of which I've ever seen on the road. I'd also noticed that most of the cars built were left hand drive and after asking was told that 85% of production is left hand drive for export - little wonder we never see many on the roads in the UK. I agree with you also about the pick of the bunch being the F1 cars - how often can we expect to see so much history lined up in chronological order as they have there? Sam.

Thanks for posting those up Sam, and interesting to hear about the productions figures for those cars and that that exhibition collection is so well kept, must have been quite a sight to see!

What a fantastic facility. Worth the visit for any of the F1 cars on offer. Thanks for sharing Sam.

That looks absolutely fantastic...!!
My cousin used to work for McLaren so I should've really made the most of that connection and tried to get a visit.
I think that the McLaren supercars are truly splendid in every way but wouldn't it be great if they did something really simple and stripped back??!! That would go down a storm I am sure and would not detract from their top end products...
I doubt that will happen but it would be great!

Absolutely brilliant smudges there Sam can't really pick a favourite as the whole experience looks damn good.
I'll have to see about trying to do a visit there myself, Woking is only approx 30 mins by train from where I live too.
Thanks again Sam.
