I'd love to have gone but due to other commitments can't make it. I hope all members that are able to attend have a good evening. Sam.

Very gutted you can't make it Gene knowing how much of a fan of Clement/Le Frenais's work you are mate and especially with all the big work you did on the LL's/AWP meets these last few years - and very good they've been too.
Hopefully we can represent 4:3 well at this.
That's my hope. I know you lads can carry the good name of 4:3tv forward at this gig Gene. We'll do our best Gene. As said big shame you and a few other lads can't make it.

I'm just in the "interested" stage in seeing this, just seeing how I can get tickets but the temporary laptop I'm using at the moment is barring me from looking at the Prince Charles cinema's website, to book tickets. What time does it start?
Might have to check on my phone.

Network are going to present the restored film and the two episodes on Tuesday 12th March at Prince Charles Cinema near Leicester Square. It's followed by a Q&A with Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. Price £25.
That should be wonderful - please report back

Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to attend due to work commitments I would have loved to go. I don't know how these Q & A things work but if the opportunity presents itself, I would be very grateful if any of the members attending could ask/find out the following: 1: What the connection Clement/La Frenais have with Berwick Upon Tweed. It's mentioned a few times in Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads (one episode even has some scenes filmed there) and in Auf Wiedersehen Pet which they also wrote. I am interested to know as this is my home town. 2: Where oh where can I get the soundtrack to the Likely Lads film? Ian La Frenais wrote the theme song so maybe he can tell? I don't think it is available or ever was, and the Guv very kindly made me a CD with the music from the film (still on heavy rotation Gene ) but I would like a definitive answer if possible. Finally, if someone could pick up a signed programme or whatever that would be great. Of course I will reimburse any expenses and an appreciative drink will be yours at the upcoming 4:3 meet. Hope this request is OK with admin and thanks in advance

If the venue for this event had been up in the North I might well have gone, but as Ford Consul said twenty five pounds plus rail fare and possibly hotel costs would be a little expensive for some of us.
Pity it hadn't been held in say Manchester, but then people from the South would have had the same problems, the expense and the travelling time. I would love to attend one of those gigs at the BFI sometime though.
I attended a 'Private Eye' gig at the National Theatre about three years ago featuring Harry Enfield and a few others. That gig finished about seven o' clock so I was able to get a train back home and it only cost a fiver for a ticket. I hope those attending 'The Likely Lads' event have a great time.
Charles.

Thanks Charlie. Steve I've been to them where it's in person hands up job. But also been to one where you were invited to tweet a question at the start of the event with some picked at the end.
