I've recently read that there was a proposal to revive OTB, in 1990, with the original cast, it was to have been called Back on the buses and a pilot episode was written but never made. It was to have been set currently after bus deregulation (IMO the biggest cock up ever inflicted on public transport) and Stan and Jack were now running their own service, in competition with a much bigger and more professional operation being run by Blakey. Recall the original cast appeared on Wogan to promote. Believe there is footage on YouTube......

Enjoyed that interview and i don't recall the reboot being mooted back then I think it would have worked as down here in London people were seething at the break up of London Buses in 1989.
