Don't know who won the game, but clearly, the doll has stood the test of time better than the bird Gene.

That's a very long time for someone to take their turn playing noughts and crosses. Did anyone see the final episode where we find out who won ? Here's some footage of the filming of Test Card f It's from an ITV comedy series called 'End of Part One'. Which was made by LWT in 1979/1980.

Here's a selection of Granada's famous/infamous in-vision continuity, sadly long gone. Enjoy!

The Granada announcer in the third clip Dirty posted is Graham James, he was a minor tv & film actor in the 60's & 70's. I live in Granada land & have a distinct memory of seeing one of the films he was in, it was a Hammer film, either 'Horror Of Frankenstein' or 'The Vampire Lovers', shown late one night & James was doing the announcing, he popped up as the credits finished rolling and remarked 'I thought the young man was very good in that', it was then I realised that it was him I'd just seen in the film!
I'm sure I heard Charles Foster's voice on a tv ad or similar last week, he must be in his 80's by now.
Colin Weston was a notoriously clumsy announcer forever fumbling his words, he was a cheery bloke but you wonder how he got the job.
