Spot on Villain. When you do see a proper car, it really stands out among the modern dross. The latest edition of Practical Classics is out today and this time, they’ve got an article about buying a bloody Peugeot 306. No ta.

On this again, I glance at eBay from time to time to have a look out for any old Ford's which might be just about affordable, more in hope than expectation! Today I searched classic Ford cars, and the only ones at the affordable end were stuff that I just can't see as classics. There was an M prefix (1995) Escort, a Fiesta of similar age and a 1998 Ford Ka, all being advertised as future classics.
I know that they're all 25 or so years old now, but I just don't see it at all. I mean, I could see things like Mark 3,4,5 Cortinas as classic potential years ago, but late 80s on stuff, to me, just does not have any kind of appeal at all.
