I often enjoy listening to this Radio 2 show presented by Tony Blackburn (presenter since 2010) on a Saturday afternoon. Two classic charts from the late 1950s through to the early 1990s are featured every week. Apparently, Radio 2 get more listeners to this chart show, which counts down singles charts from yesteryear, than Radio 1's official UK chart show. Anyone listen to this programme on the forum?

Often listen to it if I'm on nights when it's repeated, I really enjoy the '60s and '70s charts and he doesn't always play the 'obvious' hits from each year. A few weeks ago he ran through the chart for early '66 and played a long forgotten Sonny & Cher B-Side which sounded to me as if it should have been the A-Side, I can't recall the title but it sounded utterley glorious with the sound of a thousand Rickenbacker 12-string guitars, a typical Californian production of the period, most likely from the hand of Lee Hazelwood and Van Dyke Parkes. Just beautiful. Tone's chart reruns are often good for The Kinks more obscure singles, some of which only stayed in the chart for a week or two.

Good to listen to on the I-player when doing a shift on the exercise bike.
I can well believe it gets a bigger audience than the Radio 1 chart show.
