May I belatedly declare my love for Father Ted. I actually think it is a brilliant series, and is somewhat under rated. Had it been shown on the BBC it would have been seen differently. 'Are you alright there father?' It was really different and really, really funny. Loved it.

The casting was perfect and all the other actors and actresses used kept the vibe going. And of course there is a Sweeney connection with the superb Bishop Brennan played by Jim Norton, who also turned up in The Sweeney episode 'Contact Breaker'.

Absolutely love Father Ted and even enjoy seeing it's re-runs on More4 despite seeing loads of times before. Some brilliant black comedy, metaphor and (being honest) truth in it too! RIP Dermot Morgan and Frank Kelly.

I loved it too. My favourite character was Jack. Strangely, he (Frank Kelly) was the only one in the main cast who was an actor, Dougal and Ted were really comedians, but all Jack had to do was shout "girls" "drink" etc
