Welcome to the forum Marshall A good opening post leading to an excellent review, thanks for posting. I'm not a huge Beatles fan but I must admit reading your review has got me inquisitive to hear the revised mixes. I tend to be impartial about some mixes as they mess with the original however through your description the mixes appear to enhance what is already there rather than revise. Sam.

Welcome to the forum Marshall. I've been over and had a look at your review as I've not purchased the 50th reissue so it was good to have a read about it. I recently bought a lot of the 09 mixes on vinyl and they are very good indeed but from what i can hear from those vids they have improved them further.

Thanks for the welcome, Sam, and the kind words about the post and review. I definitely think the mixes appear to enhance what's already there instead of revising them. I consider the remixed Abbey Road as an adjunct to the 1969 mixed album. But, I definitely hear little audio parts in the new mixed Abbey Road that weren't prominent in past releases. Marshall

Thanks Del Boy for the welcome and for checking out the review. I'm enjoying the 2019 remixed Abbey Road, and do think it has more punch than the 2009 release. Marshall

On this day in 1969 The Beatles met at John's country pad in Berkshire, Tittenhurst Park for their final photo session together, with American snapper Ethan Russell, it was also the last time all four of them were together in the same place. The following month John let slip to the other three that he was leaving the group, but asked them not to tell anyone. The first the public knew of the impending break up was when Paul announced to the press that he was leaving on 10th April 1970. Villain

After John left for America and decided not to return to England, Ringo Starr bought Tittenhurst Park from John and it became the Starr family home from 1973 until about 1988

Villain Slightly off topic but only 7 short years earlier on this day, this happened: Crazy to think what they achieved in the intervening years.
