Looks fun Del I thought there would be more people there than that given the date. Cheers for posting the photos and video Gene.

It was a good laugh with certain forum members sabotaging the short clip including a hairdresser in a Mini I'm officially a crossing W***** There is something about this band that endures. People at Abbey Road yesterday had made made the trip from Canada, Usa, Japan as well as from all over europe. Fans seemed to come together to celebrate the anniversary, more so on Friday than yesterday but even during our visit there were approximately 50 to 100 there most of the time. Fans generally pop into the Abbey Road Studio shop, write messages on the white walls of the studio and do the crossing. As seen in the photos above the fans around the bus stop is where the studio is and many are writing messages on the wall. This location has surely become one of the strangest tourist attractions in the world ? Saint was telling me yesterday he was reading an article (see below link) about the widely believed story that the crossing had been moved. It claims this story is in fact false and it is in its original position. Obviously the parts of the crossing have been renewed to upgrade its safety standards over the years. See article via link below Abbey Road Crossing Position

Abbey Road Crossing PositionI heard an interview on the radio recently and it was mentioned on there that the crossing has not moved and that it was a rumour that spread. Also, a fellow "Beatles anorak" that I am friends with on Facebook showed some then and now photos and there were a couple of manhole/drain covers which also show that the crossing has not been moved. Hello all, What a great site! Last week, I wrote a web review/article on the Abbey Road Anniversary Edition CD Deluxe box set. I'm quite pleased by the set, the rarities (session and demo recordings), 100 page book, etc. I've provided a link to the article below. BTW, there is an Easter Egg on the Blu-ray disc which features the PCM, 5.1, and Dolby Atmos versions of the remixed Abbey Road album. If you press the right arrow of your Blu-ray remote while the menu's on, it leads to the 1969 Something music video/promo film. Also, I understand that video from The Beatles Abbey Road BBC 2 Late Night Line-Up TV special from 1969 has surfaced. Anyone familiar with the TV special?
