Del - yes, saw that article. Also recall your first visit at one of the meets; few years ago now! There's an excellent Carpool episode with Paul. Cheers, Stan

McCartney seems to have done quite a few things with Corden lately, visiting Penny Lane and other stuff.
As you said though Gene, Corden does put you off watching it. I had to turn them off myself when I watched it on YouTube

I have just watched them and thought overall it was a great thing to do. The tickets for the small gigs were free and it's great that Sir Paul popped into places like the barber shop that was mentioned in the Penny Lane song. For anyone who hasn't been to the Cavern Club and Liverpool I highly recommend it. If you plan a trip to visit it whilst your in town get around and check out it's history, it's a great place. People from all around the world visit the Cavern and Liverpool on the strengh of the Beatles. Amazing really after all these years.

I'd also recommend the Kaiser Keller (Eric's) over the road too if you like a bit of your late 70's/80's alternative history too.

Totally agree Del, I did just that in December 2015 and had a cracking time staying 3 nights up there. Did the Cavern Saturday and Sunday nights and the Magical Mystery Tour was interesting too! Would be happy to go up there again!

Nice one Gerry. Our very own John Steed is the undisputed expert on The Cavern.😎 John gets down there quite often.

Today Mark's 50 years since The Beatles walked the zebra crossing at Abbey Road and kicking off a tourist attraction for people from all over the world. More to follow...

Yesterday marked 50 years since the Beatles took a short walk outside of Abbey Road studios to have their photo taken for the forthcoming Abbey Road album. Little did they know their steps across the zebra crossing outside Abbey Road would become a beacon for fans from across the world and lead to the crossing itself becoming Grade II listed. The album itself is a great piece of work and demonstrated the band still had it in them to produce such fantastic music. They truly went out on a high point with this album after the Get Back and Apple saga's added immense strain to the relationships within the band. Its so good that its a shame they didn't decide to put the band on ice for 5 years then explore the possibility of making new music but that's a another story. Happy 50th Abbey Road Fans were out in force yesterday. See the Abbey Road Cam and BBC article via the link below.. BBC article Abbey Road 50th

Abbey Road is also being reissued in a 50th anniversary issue
