Hi all! Oh yes will be there for the Sunday at least! Probably just for the day but lookin forward to this! Hopefully I'll stop for dinner on the Sunday evening. Thanks for organising this Gene and sorry to hear you will be absent this time Charles B but have a good one in Turkey.
70s London revisited!, with a title like that, sounds like it’s gonna be a absolutely classic mixed bag👍🏻 Gene would ya put my name down! Hoping I can get to this, been to long since I’ve seen the squad..
Thanks for all who have pledged to join us so far. If anyone is still mulling it over and can't decide, just take a look back at the previous Meet reports. If you want a bloody good day out, do yourself a favour and put your names down.
Just to reiterate, the main event is on the Sunday. However, the Saturday afternoon / evening gives people the chance to catch up and chat while having a few drinks so if you can make it both days, you won't be disappointed.
Another super looking weekender Gene with a great itinerary of locations right up my street but as it stands at the present, I'm going to be working that weekend on both days.
However, as TfL is going through a massive reorg at the present and depending on what my new role is, I may be free for the weekend.
I had to interview for two posts in the new org yesterday and if I'm successful in the first, which is the most likely although you can never be certain, that will mean I can't make the meet. If they decide to give me the other, I can. And if I'm unsuccessful in both, I'm definitely coming! I should know in the next week or two.
If I can't make the meet, I'll aim to do it in my own time, as a nod to the great planning that always goes into these, including Steve's excellent booklets, although it's the squad members and banter that make the meets really special and going solo is never quite the same.
