As opposed to Blu-Raymondos!
They're ludicrously expensive now; I hadn't even realised. So I will ask before hunting down and forking out, is there much of a change in the quality? I'm sure I'll end up having to get them anyway because ... well, just because! But what's the general consensus from those of you who own them?

I don't think you can get Ashes To Ashes on Blu Ray but you can get Life On Mars. I don't have it on Blu Ray though, just standard DVD so not sure what or if there is any extra material / features on the Blu Ray edition. Generally, the picture is much better on Blu Ray. I'm not convinced that there will be a huge difference on a series as modern as LoM when compared to the difference between the Sweeney DVD's and the remastered Blu Ray release of series 1.
Hope that helps Bols.
Gene.

I got Randall And Hopkirk on blue ray and the picture quality is fantastic.
The Dirty Harry film series I bought though, I'm not too sure about. I was expecting a bit better.

There probably isn't a massive amount of difference but I'll probably still have to get them for the sake of completion, if nothing else!
The Regan blu ray is on its way

They do seem to vary in quality. I have heard that there are various different ways of bringing something to HD and that some are more successful than others, so perhaps it depends on the method used by the company?

Big ego? I'm big in every department Luv. Let us know if your get both LoM series on Blu Ray Alex and let us know where from as looking on Amazon there is a massive difference in price between the two series. Series 1 is a snip at £10.99 but series 2 is £49.95. What that all about??? Gene.

Ah, now that's where you're wrong. I just paid £11 for series 1 and £13 for series 2. I'll certainly let you know how they are! The perfect opportunity to watch Sam's jolly little prequel series to Ashes to Ashes, again
But in general, prices on Amazon are a nightmare - you'll often have just one copy at a reasonable price and if you hesitate and come back a few days later to buy it, it's normally gone and the price therefore goes up about £40! Hence I've just grabbed them now. I wish they would do Ashes as well, though. Seems mightily unfair

It is. I mentioned elsewhere on here that I asked Ashley Pharoah the question of why no Blu Ray for Ashes To Ashes but he was as in the dark as we are.
