What are you desert island choices?
Most peoples choices probably change quite often but as of now what are your choices?
1. What are your 8 favourite songs/tracks? 2. What book would you take with you? 3. What luxury item would you take with you?
My 8 favourite songs in no particular order are as follows; 1. Cool for cats by Squeeze 2. You Sexy Thing by Hot Chocolate 3. Oliver's Army by Elvis Costello & The Attractions 4. The Night Before by The Beatles 5. In My Life by The Beatles 6. Girls Talk by Dave Edmunds 7. Start me up by The Rolling Stones 8. I am The walrus by The Beatles
My book would be The Power Of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale (to try and keep myself sane!)
My luxury item would be a wind-up radio.

Great thread Steed and some great choices too.
Hard to pick only 8 but here goes:
I Am The Walrus (The Beatles) Rain (The Beatles) Life On Mars (David Bowie) D’You Know What I Mean (Oasis) Rocking Chair (Oasis) You Make No Bones (Alfie) Just When You’re Thinking Things Over (The Charlatans) Voodoo Child (Jimi Hendrix)
I’m not much of a reader. I’m currently going through my 70s Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers comics so will probably take those.
Luxury item, Birra Moretti

I wouldn't mind taking the current presenter of the radio show Kirsty Young to a desert island Seriously, it's a great idea for a thread, Mr Steed I'll let you know my choices when I'm sober and had a proper think about them Vi

I’m struggling with 8 on your list, Gene, and I consider myself to be reasonably well informed on obscure 70s stuff!

How do you mean struggling? Do you mean you can't find it? or just don't like it?

How do you mean struggling? Do you mean you can't find it? or just don't like it? Never heard of it and can't find it!
