The things you do when you're bored/waiting for files to download at work Earlier I was doing one or other of the above (I was working, Guv, I was working!) I typed in the infamous reg plate - JLY 751V. It would appear that it belonged to a Datsun. And not only a Datsun but a BEIGE one from 1979 which hasn't been taxed since 2001. What??

Dig a bit deeper Bolly and you'll also find that when you woke up at Millennium Mills in 1981, the Quattro that appeared before your very eyes was in fact a 1983 model. Sam.

But time isn’t exactly a constant for us, is it? Seemingly my car (still not exactly sure what it was but it was a Ford something) was brand new - March 82 registration on the day I was shot (ahem) in November 82. It had had a hard life for 8 months old! But that could just be my driving...

The Saint To lay this particular ghost to rest, I do indeed drive a red Audi Quattro now as you've seen elsewhere on this forum. But on weekends, I drive this. Not a Datsun despite what The Saint says. It's a Nissan 370z GT-Roadster. Gene.

You have a 'weekend car' . How the other half live, eh? More to the point ... if you do indeed have a red Audi quattro, why would you EVER want to drive anything else? A Nissan ... sort of ... is a Datsun, no? Whatever, who cares - you have more street cred than the rest of us can shake a stick at with the rather gorgeous Audi! My dear little car is on his way to the scrap heap. I now have a complete stranger sitting on my drive:

Interesting find. Imagine Gene Hunt in a Biege Datsun Sunny. It would have sent the price of 800 quid Datsuns through the roof I knew Saint was going to "tug" Gene about his Datsun
