I think Max moved too many times on the straight and Daniel could do nothing once in the slipstream. He couldn't brake any harder. They touched twice leading up to the eventual race ending crash too so were lucky to survive as long as they did. Max is a tremendous talent but he needs to wind his neck in a bit before someone gets seriously hurt.
Lewis was very fortunate to get the win. Vettel went for broke and lost out. Bottas was extremely unfortunate and deserved the top step on Sunday. Better luck for him in the future I hope.
Well done Perez. He stuck with it and was rewarded for a great drive.
Gene.

A great start to a season Hopefully the top teams will stay as competitive as we've seen so far because it makes for some great racing.

Max did a double move albeit slightly but still did it leaving Daniel with nowhere to go really and could have been much more nastier than it ended up. Yep Max needs to look at himself and his style and maybe see if it needs tweaking or improving. Doesn't mean he needs to drive conservatively but more with a bit of sense. If not he'll always be a bridesmaid in the terms of being a WDC. Just so surprised that the likes of DC on C4s coverage saw it more 50/50 as can't really see how Ricciardo could have avoided it.

Nice one Gene bet you're dead chuffed. My tix for Montreal arrived a few weeks ago too and four weeks from now I'll be there can't wait!
