Another critically acclaimed police thriller series that owes a lot to Between The Lines and features an impressive cast.

This has been a fantastic series to date. Not only that, but Keeley Hawes was also in it so worth watching for that alone. A great cast all round.

I was a bit late in watching this having started on series 2. I managed to catch up on series 1 later on Netflix to give me the background.
I must say that each series has been well written and good to see that along with Keeley Hawes there was also Daniel Mays from A2A. I think Danny Mays is an excellent actor that I would have liked to have had more involvement in Line Of Duty.

I keep meaning to find this but Sam’s done a very good job of putting me off. Daniel Mays, eh?? I don’t know if I can do it!! And besides, Gene will shoot me (again!) if I don’t start knuckling down properly with The Sweeney, so I’d better wait. But I do love Police shows!

Just started series 1 ... and within ten minutes, Martin Summers appears and spouts the words "welcome to anti-corruption". Irony induced brain-freeze.

Fully agree - each series is well written, casted and sees plenty of top acting throughout.
Interesting to note that the writer Jed Mercurio was also responsible for The Grimleys.

Hell. I think age ratings are a bit different to what they used to be. This is only a 15 - as, to my amazement, is Happy Valley. God knows what you'd have to put in a police drama to make it an 18.

Plenty of T&A, gory violence and lots of swearing, including f-words. Murphy's Law should have been an 18 as that had some very disturbing and brutal moments. Quite an old show, but it was tough as hell and James Nesbitt gave a gritty, hard-boiled turn.
