From a young age I often wondered why make a three wheeled motor ? aka the Reliant Robin etc. It wasn't until many years later that I discovered it was made for people who only had a motorcycle licence.
Being a purpose built 3 wheeler it makes sense to use the Reliant base as a conversion.

Just a heads up in case anyone is interested (I have no connection to the car or the seller), looks very nice with good history and low mileage... www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C659016Might seem pricey but try finding another with the same history. Villain

Here it is ... It does seem a little OTT but i can see why you would give it a go what with the history and all. Not many early ones around like that.

£59k for that Mk1 S... blimey, I wish I'd kept mine now!! Classic Aston prices are bonkers but having drooled over / studied in great detail (delete as appropriate!) a pair of DB6s at the NEC last weekend I can understand just why they're 'worth' that much dough. When I was at middle school in the '70s the old boy who lived opposite the school gates had a dark blue F reg'd DB6, when the weather was fine he'd bring it out of the garage and park it on his drive so we could all have a gander at it. It looked so exotic compared to the BL, Ford and Vauxhall stuff that drove up and down the road at the time. Villain

There are some lovely classics for sale at the moment. I think it must be the time of year. I'm quite taken by this. Daimler I think it might soon be time to replace the mini
