Great pictures PP I used to work for Nissan back in the long ago before the USAF & OSI and the Bluebird was indeed made in Washington, Tyne & Wear but only the T72 designations. The T12 (either T12 or T72 is in the chassis number) were made in Japan.

Evening all Thanks as ever for the comments. Del I shall certainly look out for that RHJ Merc. It may even be present in the archives yet to come! Thanks for the info as always Gerry I'll have to watch the film again (always a chore!) as I don't recall if the front of that black Dino was particularly visible in the Italian Job. It didn't occur this would be the same model. I loved that black one in the IJ. "We've lost the con-voy" Thanks Steve. I know that these were pretty much on the cusp of Sunderland production and I remember the big deal about it at the time. I really do hope that in these uncertain times, that car manufacturing can remain up there. On to the 27 May 2017 and it's off to Dorset to bring my mum back up to Essex to do a bit of house hunting. The Dav has this down as a 1968 Chrysler Unknown. Still on the road. 1990 325 Cabrio. MOT expired April 2018 and is currently on a SORN. Now in danger of being eclipsed by BMW E30s! Parked up next to this so only the best view I could get I'm afraid. 1985 BMW 628. Still on the road. Back to the more normal white limo. None of this avant garde red nonsense! Very much cherished looking Moggie van. Curious thing. The DVLA say it's a 2011 UAZ 2206. I've not looked it up, but I suspect Russian? Still on the road. 2011????

Like the 60s Chrysler convertible. Yes, PP, the UAZ is Russian, I think they also did a kind of Jeep equivalent.

And on to 28 May 2017. As mentioned a few posts back, while down in Dorset, and while I still had the chance, I took the opportunity to do a drive between two One Foot In The Grave locations. Nissan K10 MIcra making very leisurely progress round the roundabout. I think that's a graphic on the side as opposed to damage, but not sure. Minor convertible very much at home in Christchurch! I quite liked the red roof fabric on this. Didn't bother looking it up. Bound to still be on the road! After a pop to the shops, I got it on the way back also. The first One Foot location. On the right, the Meldrew house used in the first series only. They had to change the house due to the new occupiers wanting a lot more dosh for its use in the series than the previous owners. And on the left... A 1983 Fester Mk1. Given a bit of a road racer look with its lack of front bumper and wide wheels. Despite being a 950! Still on the road. Naff all else on the rest of the trip, and indeed the rest of the day, so I'll leave you for now with... The much more familiar series 2 and beyond house.

I don't believe it PP ! Some more good stuff on offer. Including Vic's gaff Cheesy as it was sometimes, I did like One Foot In The Grave. On to matters vehicular, I think that army van reminds me of a 60s Austin J4. It would look quite similar if someone jacked it on up to that height of the ruski one. I always loved the 80s 6 series BMW. Great colour for that model too

Good pics PP.
Speaking of graphics on the sides of cars, anyone remember the fake bullet hole stickers when the Man From Uncle was on TV in the 60s?

Great spots again PP, Chrysler is a 300. Yeah the UAZ 452, may well be a genuine 2011 van as according to Wiki they are still built and hardly changed since launch in 1965! Would make a great cold war era set, film or TV prop. The first "forward control"/cab over type van built in Russia apparently.

While doing my pre meet walk through last weekend, I spotted this beautiful & immaculate Citroën CX25 Gti outside Kensal Green Cemetery. Still taxed till 1st August 2020 & MOT'd till 7th January 2020. 32 years old and first registered on 1st February 1987. 38000 on the clock. Gene.

I'm getting the word "swoopy"! Certainly does look very immaculate Gene. A rare sight indeed. Probably towards the end of the production run I suspect. Thanks for the comments chaps. Nothing cheesy about One Foot, Del, I actually think it is one of the best British sitcoms of all time. Renwick was a genius in how he plotted the scenarios that Victor found himself in. And a brilliant way of ending the series also. Anyway, cars. Not much time tonight and over the weekend to post anything so more from the 2017 archives at the start of the next week. Have a good weekend all
